About RVCE
RV College of Engineering was set up in 1963 by the Rashtreeya Sikshana Samithi Trust and is one of the oldest self-financing engineering colleges in India. It is an autonomous college affiliated to VTU Belagavi, on Mysuru Road in Bengaluru, and offers 15 B.E. programmes. Seats are filled through KEA (Karnataka CET), COMEDK and a management quota.

Karnataka students get government quota seats through KEA counselling on their Karnataka CET rank, and students from any state can get seats through COMEDK counselling on their COMEDK UGET rank. A smaller number of management and NRI seats are filled by the college. Candidates need Class 12 with Physics and Mathematics and 45% aggregate in the qualifying subjects (40% for SC, ST and OBC candidates of Karnataka).

- Tuition and compulsory institute fees for a general-category student. Hostel and mess are extra.
COMEDK seat: Rs 3,22,000 paid at COMEDK plus Rs 20,000 skill lab fee and Rs 12,320 VTU fees at the college (Rs 1,800 more for students who studied outside Karnataka). A KEA government quota seat costs Rs 1,40,320 in the first year; management quota fees are not published.
