Privacy policy

What we collect

• When you sign up: your name, mobile number (confirmed through WhatsApp), whether you are 18 or older, and, if you are under 18, that your parent or guardian agrees.
• If you choose to add it: email, city, category, gender, home university, entrance exam scores (such as MHT-CET, JEE or NEET), 12th passing year, and the courses and branches you are interested in.
• When you use the site: pages and colleges you view, searches, predictor inputs, shortlists and counselling requests, linked to a random browser id stored in a cookie. We also log your IP address for security and to prevent abuse.

Why we use it

• To give you free counselling about admissions to engineering, medical, pharmacy, agriculture, veterinary, nursing, management and other courses, by phone call or WhatsApp.
• To help you with admission applications to colleges and with CAP and other counselling rounds, when you ask us to.
• To show you the full cutoffs, predictor results and your shortlist.
• To keep the site secure and understand which features are useful.

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for unrelated advertising.

Your consent

We process your data based on the consent you give when you sign up. You can withdraw consent at any time by writing to us (see below). After that we will stop contacting you and delete or anonymise your data, except what the law requires us to keep.

If you are under 18, we need your parent's or guardian's consent. We do not track children for advertising or show them targeted ads.

Who we share it with

• Colleges and admission authorities: only the details needed for your application, only when you ask us to help you apply, and only with your consent for that application.
• Service providers that run this site for us (hosting, database, WhatsApp messaging by Meta), under contracts that require them to protect your data.
• Government authorities, when the law requires it.

How long we keep it

We keep your data while you are using our counselling services and for up to 2 years after your last contact with us, so we can help you in later admission rounds. Then we delete it or make it anonymous. Security logs are kept for up to 180 days.

Your rights

• Ask for a summary of the personal data we hold about you and how we use it.
• Ask us to correct, complete or update it. You can edit most of it yourself on the My account page.
• Ask us to erase it, and withdraw your consent.
• Nominate another person to exercise these rights if you die or become unable to.
• Complain to us, and if not resolved, to the Data Protection Board of India.

Security

Your data is stored on secured servers. Sign-in uses one-time WhatsApp verification, and session cookies are encrypted in transit and cannot be read by other websites. If a breach affects you, we will inform you and the Data Protection Board as the law requires.
