About SNU Chennai
Shiv Nadar University Chennai is a private university at Kalavakkam, south of Chennai. Its 2026 admission sheet says the engineering programmes of the SSN College of Engineering are now offered by the university's School of Engineering, with 12 B.Tech programmes. B.Tech applicants are shortlisted for a personal interview on their score in the university's own computer-based test (SNUCEE) or on their JEE Main score, and the provisional offer follows the interview. Candidates need at least 60% in Class 10 and 75% aggregate in Class 12 with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics; SAT and other exam scores are not accepted. The full fee including hostel or transport must be paid within 7 days of the offer.

Tuition for CSE, its IoT and cyber security tracks, AI and Data Science, IT, ECE, ECE (VLSI) and EEE; Biomedical, Chemical, Civil and Mechanical are Rs 3,00,000. One-time fees of Rs 26,000 and a Rs 20,000 refundable deposit are extra, and fees can rise up to 5% a year. The hostel figure is room rent for a shared non-AC room (mess charges not listed); students not in hostel must take the Rs 82,000 AC bus option.
