Which exam leads to which course, who conducts it, and what happens after the result: registration, choice filling and counselling rounds.
MHT-CET: Maharashtra Common Entrance Test
The main entrance exam for engineering, pharmacy and agriculture seats in Maharashtra. Students take it in the PCM group (engineering, pharmacy), the PCB group (pharmacy, agriculture) or both.
- 01Result and percentileThe CET Cell publishes a percentile for each group you appeared in.
- 02CAP registrationRegister for the Centralised Admission Process (CAP) of your course and verify documents.
- 03Merit listA provisional, then final, state merit list is published.
- 04Option formList the colleges and branches you want, in order. This decides your seat, so we fill it with you.
- 05CAP roundsSeats are allotted round by round; you freeze a seat or go for betterment.
- Engineering CAP also accepts a JEE Main score.
- Seats left after CAP are filled by colleges at institute level.
NEET UG: National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (Undergraduate)
The single entrance exam for MBBS, BDS, AYUSH courses (BAMS, BHMS, BUMS) and B.V.Sc & A.H. across India, at government, private and deemed colleges.
- 01All-India quotaMCC counsels the 15% All-India quota of government MBBS/BDS seats, plus deemed and central institutions; AACCC counsels AYUSH seats; VCI counsels the 15% veterinary quota.
- 02State quotaIn Maharashtra, the State CET Cell counsels state quota medical, dental and AYUSH seats.
- 03Choice fillingYou list colleges in order of preference in each counselling. We fill it with you.
- 04RoundsSeats are allotted round by round; you can keep a seat or try to upgrade.
- You can register for All-India and state counselling at the same time.
JEE Main: Joint Entrance Examination (Main)
The national engineering entrance exam. Paper 1 leads to B.E./B.Tech at NITs, IIITs and other centrally funded institutes; Paper 2 leads to B.Arch and B.Planning. Top Paper 1 candidates qualify to take JEE Advanced.

JEE Advanced: Joint Entrance Examination (Advanced)
The entrance exam for the IITs. Only candidates who rank high enough in JEE Main Paper 1 can take it.

MAH-MBA-CET: Maharashtra MBA / MMS Common Entrance Test
The state entrance exam for MBA and MMS seats in Maharashtra. The same CAP also accepts national scores such as CAT and CMAT.

NATA: National Aptitude Test in Architecture
An aptitude test for B.Arch admission. In Maharashtra, B.Arch CAP accepts a NATA or a JEE Main Paper 2 score.
